What’s happening with the value of your home: Great news for our area! Our market prices have been holding, and are actually up slightly from this time last year. Disregard the bad news the media is trying to spread about the real estate market nationally, it just doesn’t apply to us! Right now we are seeing an average of 18% fewer sales overall, and it takes an average of 30% longer to sell a house in today’s market compared to last year, but all-in-all things are looking great. Some buyers are still hesitating to make a purchase, waiting to see if rates drop - or if prices will. If you’ve been watching the market, you probably have seen mortgage interest rates start to creep up just a little. The opportunity to buy isn’t going to be any better than it is right now. If you’re thinking about selling your home and have been worried about market conditions – stop worrying and get ready to sell. It may take an extra couple of weeks to get the job done, but you’ll find a buyer and get a good price.
